Privacy by restraint
HonorCart provides a website and a browser extension that helps shoppers retrieve coupons while protecting supported existing affiliate referrals. Monetization and extension telemetry are currently disabled. This policy describes the data flow built into the release candidate and will be updated before any material change.
What the extension processes locally
The extension checks the address of the active shopping page on your device to identify supported merchants and known affiliate-referral parameters. It stores your consent choice locally and keeps attribution status in browser session storage. Per-tab attribution status is cleared when that tab closes. HonorCart does not read page contents, payment details, coupon-field contents, personal communications, or a general browsing history.
What is sent to HonorCart
After you consent, the extension may request the current merchant allowlist and kill-switch status. When you deliberately request coupons, it sends the merchant hostname and path to retrieve available offers. Only when you deliberately request an approved affiliate activation does it send the merchant hostname and the page address after query parameters and fragments have been removed. The current release supports only a non-commercial reviewer environment and rejects activation.
Affiliate sharing
If activation is enabled for an approved merchant in a future release, HonorCart will disclose that it may earn a commission before activation. After your explicit action, HonorCart may share the minimum activation information required by that merchant or its affiliate network. HonorCart does not sell browsing data or use it for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.
Website and beta contact
The public website does not currently create accounts or accept form submissions. If you contact HonorCart by email, the message and address are used to respond to you and operate the requested beta or support relationship.
Service providers and security
HonorCart uses Cloudflare to host and protect the website and API. Cloudflare may process standard request and security metadata, including IP address and user-agent information, under its own terms and privacy commitments. HonorCart uses HTTPS and limits extension API responses to the disclosed product purpose.
Retention and controls
HonorCart does not intentionally retain shopper browsing activity or production extension telemetry in the current release. Email correspondence is retained only as needed to respond, maintain the relationship, secure the service, or meet legal obligations. You may withdraw extension consent and clear local extension data from HonorCart’s Privacy & controls page or by uninstalling the extension. Contact privacy@honorcart.com to request access to or deletion of information you submitted directly.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
HonorCart’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
